Default Increasing FPS rate

Lately i have huge problem with FPSes - but it is not because of me net connection. It's probably because my computer is quite old. I'm not going to buy new one in nearest future, BUT i want to play GW. And now it's quite impossible (esp. in PvP) to fight, when there is more then 10 chars/mobs on screen in one time. My medium FPS rate is ~10. In fights it dcreases to 2-4. So as you see, it isnt too big number.

Any ideas/propositions how to increase it?
I have decreased graphic settings to lowest one (i dont care about graphic, for me GW may look even like Tibia or sth). I've changed Direct X from 9 to 8.
But still, it sux. I'm afraid of overclocking (problems with heat lvl) so i have no more ideas..
Please, help me

Current system specs would be a help!

SPECS would be nice:

But some guesses:

Well, get back to DirectX 9, because that's not really saving you anything by rolling back to 8.

-First try running game with VSYNC disabled on your video card and in-game setting.

-If that doesn't generally increase your frame rate and/or causes any video tearing: Re-enable VSYNC again and turn on TRIPLE-BUFFERING on your video card via a free utility like ATI_TRAY_TOOLS.

Ati Readon 9200+

I know that it's just a little over minimal requiments, but damn't, when i played few months ago GW:P worked much more smoother.

A few command lines in the target box would do wonders for you + A defrag here and there

Defrag does help alot. I have the same system almost (celeron 2.0, ati 9250, 1Gb), and I defrag and use adaware religiously. My fps is nowhere near that bad.

What commands you mean? -noshards?

@Edge Martinez
You have one piece? If yes, i'll try to defrag it more.

You need to defrag your entire hard drive, not just the GW.dat file. Also, how much free space is available on your hard drive and what are the specs on it?

And, what do you have your video settings on? The card you listed is almost bottom end req for GW:N.
